Graba Privacy Policy
Effective date: 30 July 2026
Graba is built local-first. Your recordings, lyrics, and projects live on your device. We do not have servers, accounts, or access to your content.
What we collect
Anonymous usage statistics, and nothing else.
Graba uses TelemetryDeck to count feature usage anonymously, such as "a recording was saved" or "the tuner was opened." These signals contain no audio, no lyrics, no names, no contact information, and no advertising identifiers. Identifiers are hashed on your device before anything is sent, the data is not linked to you, and it is never used for tracking or advertising.
Your recordings and lyrics
- Stored on your device.
- If you turn on iCloud Backup in Graba, they sync through your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit. That data sits in your private iCloud database; we cannot read it.
- They leave your device only when you share them yourself (for example through the share sheet, AirDrop, or Messages).
Microphone and camera
Graba uses the microphone to record your musical ideas and to hear your instrument for the tuner, and the camera only when you choose to capture a video take. Nothing is recorded without you starting a recording.
Data retention and deletion
Delete a take or project in the app and it is gone from your device; if iCloud Backup is on, deletion syncs to your iCloud as well. Deleting the app removes all local data. Usage statistics are anonymous, so there is nothing we could tie back to you to delete.
Children
Graba does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the update ships with the app release notes and this page is updated.
